Xentral already has productive AI features in use, including the Analytics Copilot, AI-powered OCR for incoming invoices, and intelligent assistance for data imports. AI agents are designed to work through tickets in the background, pulling relevant data such as order numbers for returns or customer details for enquiries, then generating a suggested resolution. One of the first planned agents will also handle automatic order creation for orders that come in via email or the ticket system.

The AI Sidekick can query data directly from the system. For quick lookups like open invoices, it returns live figures. For more complex queries, such as detailed reports on product groups or returns, the AI Copilot in Reporting is used to generate a structured report.

One important note: modifying data, such as updating selling prices, is not yet possible for security reasons. However, this is on the roadmap, with any such action requiring explicit user confirmation before it takes effect.

Each customer's AI agents are completely separate and learn only from that customer's own data. There is no mixing of data across customers. Think of it as having a dedicated AI assistant that works exclusively for your business. Keeping your Xentral system and master data well-maintained is essential for reliable results, and in the future, the agent may also proactively recommend master data improvements.

We're currently testing several models to identify which ones perform best for specific tasks. The infrastructure and hosting setup will be confirmed after the initial testing phase, taking legal and compliance requirements into account.
