Fashion label LIEBLINGSSTÜCK designs and sells feel-good clothing in premium quality. When the company changed hands in 2024, the team used the moment to overhaul its e-commerce setup and switch to Xentral. With a little help from digitalXL, they got the new system up and running in record time.
A restructuring brought LIEBLINGSSTÜCK new owners and the need for a new ERP. With a stack of open orders waiting to go out, there wasn’t much time for a drawn-out onboarding.
Thanks to self-onboarding and outside support from digitalXL, LIEBLINGSSTÜCK was live on Xentral in just 18 days — and still shipped on time.
- 800 orders shipped after only 18 days of onboarding
- 30% more efficiency in order management
- Around 70 retailers connected via Transus EDI within a few months
Favorite pieces only: an e-commerce label built around feel-good womenswear
Everyone should have one in their closet: a favorite piece that fits just right and lifts the mood. If you’re still looking for yours, LIEBLINGSSTÜCK has you covered. Since 2010, the label has made high-quality women’s outerwear in the premium segment - feminine, but comfortable. Accessories and loungewear round out a collection of fairly produced sweaters and go-to shirts.
To make sure there really is a favorite piece for everyone, a new collection drops every month. And since this is a Bavarian fashion brand, you’ll also find special collections featuring traditional Trachten styles. Design happens in-house at the company’s headquarters in Bruckmühl, with a second location in Aichach.
A new home for the label, new ERP software for e-commerce
Even with its fair-trade, stylish collections, LIEBLINGSSTÜCK wasn’t spared by the downturns of the past few years. The label went through a restructuring that led to its acquisition by Lovely Brands 24! GmbH & Co. KG in 2024. To set the business up for the future, the team used the opportunity to upgrade its e-commerce processes. While the team was moving into new offices, the business processes were set to move from the old ERP into a new system. Miriam Schreyer and Sebastian Kleinert led the project.
Both of them knew the existing software wasn’t going to get them where they needed to go. “One big problem was that the shop interface in the old ERP cost us an insane amount every month and still didn’t work properly. EDI connections through Xentral and Transus are faster and far less of a headache than they were with the old ERP,” says Sebastian, who needed reliable software for connections to Tradebyte and Shopify, among others. “On top of that, the performance and usability of the old system were disappointing,” Miriam adds.
“In e-commerce, every cent counts. So we were looking for an ERP that’s simple, fast, efficient and cost-effective - one that gives you a solid standard workflow but can still be tailored to your needs,” Sebastian explains. Since he and Miriam had already worked with Xentral, and other brands in the group were using the Augsburg-based software too, the decision was an easy one.
- Strong performance even as processes scale
- Reliable integrations
- Better price-performance ratio than the previous solution
- A fast go-live
A natural fit: live in 18 days with self-onboarding and digitalXL
Miriam and Sebastian had to get the new system up as fast as possible so open orders could ship without delay. “At the end of February we knew we were moving to Xentral. On March 1 we started setting the system up, and by March 18 we had already shipped nearly 800 customer orders,” Miriam says proudly. “You can’t onboard an ERP any faster than that.”
A big part of that was the team at digitalXL, who know Xentral inside and out. Miriam and Sebastian knew digitalXL from earlier projects and knew they were the right people to call for anything that needed tailoring in Xentral. “We handled the initial setup in March 2024 completely on our own, using self-onboarding and the Xentral help center. Once it came to the integrations, the digitalXL team stepped in,” says Sebastian, who could count on Martin Großmann from digitalXL whenever he needed to.
In March, they also connected the warehouse logistics of fulfillment provider Xenful. Then in June, Miriam took on the seamless integration of around 70 of the label’s retail partners, so the wholesale business could run through Xentral too. For the EDI connection with Transus, she had Pascal Baumann from digitalXL by her side.
In just 18 days, we were already able to ship nearly 800 customer orders. You can’t onboard an ERP any faster than that.

Xentral becomes the new favorite for the team and for sales reps
15 of the roughly 33 people at LIEBLINGSSTÜCK work in Xentral every day, handling all B2B and B2C orders through it. “Every process, from order to invoice and credit note, runs through Xentral. Product data for shops and ordering systems is also maintained centrally in here,” Sebastian says.
B2B orders from small boutiques to major department stores also flow through Xentral. The products aren’t just sold through LIEBLINGSSTÜCK’s own online shop and its three stores in Lindau, Aschau and Bregenz; they’re also on marketplaces like Zalando, About You and Otto.
- 30% more efficient order processing
- A significant drop in errors during order processing and shipping
- 80% fewer sales rep questions coming into the back office
When speed matters: a flexible, intuitive ERP as an e-commerce accelerator
“With a different ERP, moving our processes over would have taken months,” Sebastian figures. But because he and Miriam already knew their way around the ERP world and had a strong partner in digitalXL, the core processes were set up in less than three weeks. For the two e-commerce pros, Xentral stands out for its intuitive interface, strong performance, and the fact that all the important data and workflows live in one place.
I’d pick Xentral again every single time. It’s easy to get the hang of, it’s modern, and it has a long list of e-commerce integrations that actually work.
Sebastian Kleinert, Preject Lead at LIEBLINGSSTÜCK
They can’t imagine going back: “If Xentral disappeared overnight, everything would come to a standstill. Order entry wouldn’t work anymore, the sales reps would have no data, the shops would stop working,” Sebastian says. “And we wouldn’t find an alternative we could roll out as fast as Xentral.”
The next project is already in the pipeline: LIEBLINGSSTÜCK is going to connect marketplaces like Zalando, About You and Otto via Tradebyte and run the orders fully through Xentral. More customizations with digitalXL are planned for the future. Whatever comes next, the team at LIEBLINGSSTÜCK can look ahead with confidence and help a lot more people find their new favorite piece.
With Xentral, we’ve made our workflows noticeably more efficient and freed up headcount for the work that really moves the needle.
